About Higgisons

Higgisons was formed by John Higgison in Oxford Street in 1965 and was originally part of the Accountancy Tuition Centre until James McHale became managing partner and the firm moved to its City Road premises in 1982.

We specialise in working with medium and smaller enterprises and we are noted for our friendly proactive approach to advising our clients.

We like to become involved at the planning stage of the formation of a business venture to ensure that it is structured as flexibly and efficiently as possible so that it can cope with changes in legislation or personal circumstances.

Our taxation department has the benefit of expertise gained with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and we are very fortunate to have a strong investigation specialism which enables us to regularly settle disputes with HMRC swiftly and cost effectively.

Over the years we have built up numerous relationships with various Banks and we frequently negotiate advantageous terms on behalf of our clients and assist them in the ongoing representations and monitoring.

We have a low staff turnover which better enables us to know our clients well and be in a position to provide them with a first class service at reasonable rates.
